What to Say When a Teenager Says She's Gay
May 17, 2010 21:02
guestEva A piece of news from http://online.wsj.com that a 16-year-old girl just came out and has gone to extremes to show she is gay by cutting her long hair short and wearing boys' clothes. She is seeing a psychologist, not to change her sexual orientation but to help her depression. Her family members wondered if trying to discourage her from wearing these clothes is sending the wrong message. The entire family supports her decision, though some do not agree with it.

Such cases arise not abruptly. So, what do you think the family members need to do? How to react to a teen's appearance? or how to help with depression?

Wait until they are asleep and then very gently place a soft pillow over their face.
Hold until all movement ceases.

Gloomy, no, not in a bad mood, just a little tired of the Gay lobby trying to recruit gullible teenagers into their ranks who probably have little or no understanding of their sexuality.
