30 percent increase? Their salaries just rise from CNY900 to CNY 1200. Is it enough?

I am thoroughly disappointed by Foxconn. The worker's salaries in Shenzhen have been increased. But Foxconn refuses to pay public accumulation funds for their workers in Shandong Province.

台巴子 biz, normally speaking, is the last choice that mainlanders joined since mailland open door to Taiwan coz their biz are as turbid and foul as the current siturations that occur in Taiwan today. I don't understand that why Chinese gov. are subsidizing 台巴子 whose development is heading for deadend.

Marrie, you seem to be very furious about Foxconn. What does 台巴子 mean?

Foxconn has announced a salary increase again Yesterday to the some workers. Max to 66% from RMB1200 to 2000. This made a slump of its stock. I wonder whether this works.

Jmmyb, 台巴子is a special term to call people from Taiwan. It was invented in Shanghai 20 years ago. It means ignorant and shabby farmer from Taiwan.

RMB2000/per mo plus being treated as like an animals in the insane asylum? Do u know how much is labor cost offerred by Wolkswagen supplier located in Shanghai 15 years ago? RMB5000-10000 plus modern nice working enviroment.

Thanks for your explanation, Marrie.

RMB2000/per mo plus being treated as like an animals in the insane asylum?

Right. But that's the reason why so many foreign companies come to China to build their factories and make products. See, the labor force is toooooo cheap. Now, some international brands, for example, Nike has transfered to Vietnam. Why? The labor force there is much cheaper.

2000 per month is not high in Shenzhen though the lodging and dinning are free. Like Jimmyb said, the foreign companies come to China just because the labor force is cheap. If the labor force becomes expensive, they will pull out sooner or later.
