Cruise embarkation at port in Tianjin/Xingang

I was wondering what the boarding process is like in Tianjin. Some people mention going into a hotel there to begin and others say we just check in like at any other cruise port. Can someone help me on this? We will be on a private bus coming in from Beijing, leaving there in the morning and arriving shipside in the early to midafternoon. Thanks!
