When I realized that second hand smoker was more harmed and began to feel ache in the chest smelling the smoke (I am allergic to smoke), I asked my dad to stay outside. Until one day when he was in middle age, he himself deicided to quit smoking coz cigarettes caused discomfort physically , ie coughing and headaching very often.

Marrie, good to hear that your father has quitted smoking. I once persuaded him to quit smoking but failed. Are there some effective ways to let them quit smoking?

Secondhand smoke is classified as a cancer-causing agent. Let those who smoke know that tobacco smoke contains over 4,000 chemical compounds, and more than 60 of these are known or suspected to cause cancer. There is a discovery that the secondhand smoke may be linked to breast cancer.

Quit smoking if they are afraid of these diseases. However, what can I do for my father? he never think of quiting it in case of even though it may cause cancer

NANCYMOON, he must know the harms of smoking but he can't quit smoking. It is not easy for a man who has been smoking for 10-15 years.
