Hi, I am planning go to Xian from 6/29-7/3. Is it difficult to get hard/soft sleeper train tickets to Chengdu at that time when summer starts? Do you know if Xian Garden Hotel has good reputation? or any same level hotels you can recommend. Thanks for your help

As for Chengdu, you can always get a good discount on Air ticket. Like now, it's cheaper than the hardsleeper.

| actually, to buy tickets between June 29th and July 3rd is not difficult, but one week later, about July 10th, a large number of students will go home and make tickets tight. Xi'an is always emphasizing on the development of traval services. So almost all big hotels hold their own reputation, even some small provide convenient services with a low price. I wonder if you will come with a group of people or just by yourself. If it is the first, the travel group you participate will arrange everything for you; if it is the latter, you have to find proper hotel for yourself, please tell me. | Hi! I will be in Beijing for business in April and was hoping to take some time off after to see the Terracotta Warriors at Xian. I was hoping if you could share with me some details about travel from Beijing to Xian. How long would it take via train? Which train ride should I take? If I go to see the Terracotta Warriors, would it be possible to go back to Beijing the same day? |

You take go on the nighttrain to Xi'an. It leaves around 8 in the evening and you'll arrive 12 hours later. You can return the same evening by nighttrain to Beijing, but I advise you to stay at least another day to check out the other thing Xi'an has to offer

Hello there and thank you for your help. I am going to be heading there around the 20th of April with my husband to go sightseeing. I plan on taking the train from Datong to there. How difficult will it be to get a soft sleeper without prior purchase of the ticket? I am 5 months pregnant and want to be as comfortable as possible. Thanks, Erica
