guestLin	Hi, have two questions! 1) Is it reasonable to expect that I can purchase train tickets for same-day travel from Shanghai to Suzhou or Shanghai to Hangzhou? Would like express trains (C/D) if possible with soft seats. 2) Do the train stations in Shanghai offer left luggage services for several days at a time? Am considering whether I can leave a large suitcase (26") for several days at the train station. Thanks!

1) No, unless you don't mind waiting perhaps a couple of hours for the next available one. There's no "soft seat" category, only 1st and 2nd class. Both are soft enough!
2) Yes, but it might get expensive. If you'll be staying at a hotel in Shanghai on your return, they should be ok to help you store luggage for free.
