Cheap and fast usually do not go hand in hand.
There's no direct train for this route.
There's a bus that leaves at 1420 and costs 290 RMB, but I think it might take around 20 hours.
If you want to get there faster, then fly.

Dear Ellyse,
you are very precious in the planning of my trip!

Do you know if there is also a night bus or a bus where we can sleep (hard seat?)

Thank you very much!

AFAIK?!?!?

Can you suggest a place where we can make a stop so we can split the travel into two parts?

Greetings!

You can try Longyan to break your trip. It's pleasant enough place but the Hakka buildings of Yongding region are the most interesting things to visit. I spent a few hours there but you can stay overnight in renovated Tulou's, now boutiques hotels or just go look around.

Read my review for more information and google Hakka Tulou of Fujian and Guangdong .

GUEST34140 What is the best sites to visit if I have extended my holidays in Guilin for 2 days which previously I have followed a local tour for 6 days already?

Can I take the local transportation to these sites and what is the cost to these places?

Check if you have visited all places in Guilin by clicking the above link. If you have been to all the sites, I suggest you go to visit Yangshuo.
