It is held in Johannesburg, South Africa on June 11. It is reported that the former South Africa president Nelson Mandela will appear at the opening ceremony. However, he may not stay for long because of his increasingly frailty. "Mandela will come and greet the fans ... before he retires to his home. We’re trying to see how long he will stay at the stadium. At least 10 to 15 minutes”, according to his oldest son. After the opening ceremony, South Africa will fight Mexico at the opening match.
