Getting from Pudong Airport to Hangzhou
Jun 26, 2010 04:39
guest38219 I'm arriving at Pudong airport at around 10am, and want to go immediately to Hangzhou. What is the best (quickest and most comfortable) option?
1 - Take bus to Shanghai South Station and then train to Hangzhou?
2 - Take the bus directly from Pudong airport to Hangzhou?

Where can I find the timetables of the buses from PVG to Hangzhou?

Thanks in advance

For the Pudong airport -- Hangzhou buses, you might not be in time for the 1030 departure, but you would be in time for the 1200 departure.

GUESTMICKEY Take the fast or bullet train from Pudong airport to the nearest metro station. It is 50rmb for the short ride. Then take metro to Shanghai South train station. The trains to Hangzhou run quite often and trip is about 1 1/2 hours.

Upon arrival best bet is to take a taxi to your lodging if no one is to pick you up .

GUESTANI...

The last long distance bus from Pudong airport to Hangzhou leaves at 20:00. You can not catch it. The fastest and easiest way is to hire a taxi from the airport to Hangzhou. However, the cost is too high. It costs around 800-1000 RMB. But you need to know that it will be very late after you getting to Hangzhou. It might be hard for you to find a place to sleep.

If you are not hurry, you can stay at the hotel near the airport for a night and then take the first long distance bus next morning to Hangzhou. The earliest bus leaves at 8:40 and the ticket fare is CNY 100 for each person. Actually, the cost (hotel plus long distance bus) is almost similar to taxi cost.

There is no train from Shanghai to Hangzhou at that time. The best transport is to hire a taxi and see if the driver is willing to bring you to Hangzhou. But it is very expensive, probably more than CNY 800.

I suggest you stay at a hotel near the airport for a night and then take high speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou tomorrow.
