I believe that every fan of England is angry about the referee’s judgment on Lampard’s legitimate goal in the first half. However, the result can not be changed even though some angry fans abuse the referee as a WANKER.

The match between England and Germany has raised another issue-whether it is necessary for FIFA to introduce advanced technology to help the referee judge the match fairly. After that match, Jerome Valcke, the FIFA general secretary, just said “the use of video technology was “definitely not on the table” saying it is impossible to have a “zero-fault” system. The additional assistants to the referees could happen in 2014 to make sure these kind of things are not happening in refereeing.”

However, Blatt, the president of FIFA, said publicly that “FIFA's rejection of goal line technology is medieval”.

As a fan of soccer, do you think it is necessary to use goal-line technology to football games?

I don't know why the secretary objects to introduce goal-line technology to football games. Using this technology won't cost too much money. FIFA really should learn form Wimbledon Grand Slam. The eagle eye has been used at Wimbledon. Also, the retractable roof has been also added to Center Court.

We all know that British people are very traditional. All players who play Wimbledon Grand Slam wear white sports clothes. It is the tradition. Now, some changes have taken place, eagle eye and retractable roof ...

Why can't FIFA do some changes?

Kevin, you can not believe Blatt's words so easily. Interviewed by CNN, he did say something like you said. However, he denied what he said. Instead, he just apologized to Mexico and England's for the referees' misjudgment.

FIFA is too stubborn. All soccer teams should unite together to require FIFA changes its mind. Like Milutinovic said, FIFA hasn't made any progress since 1966 World Cup.

Last night, Spain defeated Portugal 1:0. Today, a Germany newspaper says that the referee also made a mistake. David Villa was offside before he scored his goal.

FIFA should believe that the referees has their limits. New technology should be used.

David Villa was offside? Oh my god. Can't imagine how FIFA reacted to this. Even they arrange 10 referees on the pitch, there might be misjudgments. FIFA should realize that humans have their limits. Sometimes, they have to resort on high-technologies.

The facts have proved that FIFA was wrong. Don't learn to be an ostrich.

FIFA wouldn't admit they were wrong. See, FIFA just said that more judges might be added in 2014. It's USELESS. By the way, I just heard that Blatter (the president of FIFA) was busy asking the support for his continuance. He was annoyed at present. So he might not have time to think about this.

The news also disclosed that Blatter led very luxurious life in South Africa. During the World Cup, he stays at the president suite of Sun Hotel. It costs 3500 US dollars per night. Just calculate how much he will spend. Don't know if he will pay the bill by himself.

Goal-line technology yes, off-side judgements no.

Using technology to off-side judgements would be a very bad idea. Changing off-side rules back to old would be better one. The rule was changed to give more goals, which has not come true. It has only made it more difficult to use.

For example, I think it was in Eng - Ger, a long pass to Rooney. Rooney was at off-side. However, some defender touched the ball and Rooneys off-side situation was cut off. Off-side was flagged though.

Today the linesman must:
1. Control the off-side line that is moving and changing by a second.
2. Register the exact time of a player touching the ball when he makes his pass.
3. Compare the touching time and what he saw a 1/10 of a second earlier in the off-side line.
4. Controll if the off-sided player is making a move to play the ball. (what is considered as the move?)
5. Control the ball, what happens to it while it is flying or rolling to its destination.

Who the hell can do this without making mistakes every now and then!!!???

Earlier, he only needed to see th eline and compare it to the sound he heard when the ball was kicked. Off-side, flag up, no off-side, continue playing...

Carlos, you should be the referee at this World Cup I am sure that you will do a better job than the referees who judged Germany and England, Argentina and Mexico. Just one thing: Don't listen to Blatter's order.

He once said that all those talented football players should be protected to make sure that they could play well. A stupid referee who took his order and then Argentina won their games and advanced to the quarter-finals. The referees did help Argentina a lot.

You were right. I shouldn't have believed Blatter's words. He changed so fast. As the president of FIFA, he should do his part to make the games play fairly. I am disappointed with him.

I think so too, Kevin, perhaps my mother could have been better than them, too.
I aggree about Platter:
"He once said that all those talented football players should be protected to make sure that they could play well."

Nowadays players fall down if someone comes close, not any contact needed. Bypassers get yellow cards, some even red.
Protecting "talented" (why the hell that left defender can not be "talented"?) has ruined the game of those whose job is to stop the "talented".

Now that´s the other place for video technology, removing cards from those given wrongly and punishing those actors afterwards.

Carlos

PS.

Platter noticed that his time is ending and he wants to have more, so after finding the puplic opinion is for using technology, he changed his mind.

Couldn't agree with you any more, Carlos.

Talented footballers are always get hurt easily. Ronaldo is a typical example. He once passed 5 guys to shoot the ball into the net. I believe that all defenders hate him very much. The defenders have responsiblity to stop the forward. However, few defenders can stop Ronaldo. Then they have no choice but use some mean strategies, kicking him or tackling him down.

If I was the rule-maker, I would punish those guys who kick o tackle other players on purpose. He will be baned for one game and pay the fines. Seriously, he will not play soccer any more.

For those actors on the pitch, they will be punished like those guys who hurt other players on purpose. If he really likes acting, better join an acting class instead of playing soccer.

You are right about Blatter. He changed his mind just to cater for the public. He just wants to keep his position of FIFA president. Why? He can make a lot of money.
