| Recently, the sun is very hot and people get badly burnt in the open air very easily. Experts remind: eat more tomatoes can protect ourselves from the hot sun. Shen Lei, an associate professor from Wuhan University said: Tomato contains lycopene, carotene and many kinds of trace elements which have high-standard antioxidant capacity, thus can protect us from sunburn. Besides, tomato contains malic acid, citric acid, saccharides, etc which can help to increase appetite. Professor Shen Lei also said it is better to eat boiled or fried tomatoes and not to eat raw on an empty stomach. |

| Hi, Do you know why they said it's best to eat it fried or boiled? Because I prefer tomato raw...and I find it confusing why it wouldn't be best that way? :) |
