I have heard it's going to be hot in July. Are sleeveless shirts culturally OK? Shorts generally accepted most places? What is not acceptable?

Sleeveless shirts are ok. If you come here, you will find out that many foreigners wear casually. I also see some foreigners wear shorts and slippers to visit the Temple of Heaven. If you need to join some very formal occasions, you might prepare some formal clothes. I guess that shorts might not be possible but T shirts are ok.
