Who is the biggest winner at the 2010 World Cup? Spain? They are the champions. No, Spain wins the champions but is not the biggest winner. It is the FIFA who wins the most in South Africa.

The FIFA will be likely to earn 8.7 billion US dollars from the South Africa World Cup. The federation’s source of revenue comes from three parts: Television Rights, Sponsors and Souvenir Sales. It is estimated that FIFA will pocket around 2.7 billion from television rights. The sponsors including Adidas, Coca Cola, Emirates Airline, Hyundai Corporation, Sony, Visa and other 8 corporations has contributed more than 2 billion dollars in sponsorship. And the income from its souvenir sales will reach 4 billion.

The International Olympic Committee can not compete with the FIFA, the most profitable organization in the world. The IOC has just earned less than 2.6 billion (TV rights and Sponsors) from the Beijing Olympics.

No wonder Blatter is unwilling to resign his position as the president of the FIFA. If he succeeds in continuance, he will benefit more from the FIFA.

The FIFA should thank Chinese soccer fans. China has a large number of soccer fans. They have contributed a lot to FIFA's TV rights income. I can't understand why they are so interested in watching the matches. China Men's team can't play at the World Cup but the soccer fans are still happy to watch the games.

I guess that's why Blatter flattered China that China can host a very successful World Cup in the future. The FIFA thinks that it can pocket money from it.
