Arriving Shenzhen at 22:00...flight from HKG the next day @ 12:00...

I'll be arriving in Shenzhen Airport at 22:00 from Nanning. The next day I have a flight from Hong Kong to the US at noon. I am thinking about staying at the Holiday Inn Shenzhen Donghua, which is supposed to be near the Shekou ferry. Then I'll take the ferry in the morning to HK Airport.

Does this sound ok, or should I cross over to HK the night before, and stay at a hotel near the HK airport?

7:45,8;45 10:00 11:15 Shekou Ferry to HK iNternational Airport Voyage about 30mins.
So stay at Shekou is OK, maybe it cheaper for hotel spends

Thanks. It took a lot for me to get comfortable doing this, as most of us Americans don't know the available transport options (and my travel agent is useless!).

I always stay in Shekou, use the ferry back to the airport each time. The customs is much quicker, your baggage will go straight through to the airline and dont forget to pick up your airport tax refund on the way through, HK$ 120. Not much but it will pay for coffee and snack while you wait for flight
