applying for Chines VISA in South Korea
Jul 20, 2010 21:20
Hi

I intend to apply for a Chinese Tourist VISA during a short stay in Seoul. Now I read that it's necessary to have an Alien Registration card to be able to do so. I assume these cards are not for short term visitors of South Korea (I will only be there for 7 - 10 days). Is there no other way to apply for a Chines tourist VISA in Seoul?

thanks for any help!

Yes, I also heard about it. China visa low has been changed in past few days. All foreigners who want to apply China visa in South Korea need to provide their Alien Registration Card valid for at least 6 months. But I heard that someone can get visas from Chinese Consulate in Busan, even if they have ARC for less than 6 months. So, you may try to find a travel agency there to help you with it.

BTW, since you are not able to apply a ARC first, so there is another way for you to apply for a visa to China. That is sending your application and all requirements back to your home country, let your family or friends to apply it for you. But please note that Never Mention that you are in Korea now. It works. So, good luck!
