 | Sad news! Raul, the captain of Real Madrid, is leaving his team together with Guti, the vice captain. Raul and Guti has devoted their whole career to Real Madrid. But they were little used during the last season. And the new coach Jose Mourinho has indicated that he will not count on them in next season. According to Spanish media, Raul will join Schalke with a two-year contract. He will announce his departure next week. He is a legend to Real Madrid. Raul started to play for Real Madrid since 1994. He has won six La Liga championships and three Champions League titles at Real Madrid. He has scored 323 times in 740 appearances for the club. Raul is 33 years old this year. Time to retire. He considers that he might retire in 2011. Don’t worry! You will see him at the Euro-Championships next season because Shalke is qualified to play at the Euro-Championships. He is possible to break his own records---66 goals at the Euro-Championships. Guti is also 33 years old. His first pro debut at Real Madrid is 1995. Since then, he has been playing 15 years. He will join a Turkish team-Besiktas. Like Raul, he also expresses that he will retire in 2011 too. Farewell to Raul. Farewell to Guti.   |

| A sad ending for both of them. I thought that they would end their career at Real Madrid. The reality is cruel. If you are useless to the club, they will drive you away no matter what you have contributed to the club. I feel sorry for Raul and Guti. |

| The captain and vice captain both leave Real Madrid. Who will be the next captain? Iker Casillas? Who will wear No.7 shirt? C Ronaldo? The new coach arrives at Real Madrid. he has his own tactics. Thus, he needs to change the team. Unfortunately, Rual and Guti are not the new coach's favourites. Raul is a forward. But Real Madrid has several forwards. They are young and energetic. Raul is old. That's why the coach doesn't use him. A farewell party was held at Real Madrid for Raul. Guti, the vice captain leaves alone. Wish him a good journey in Turkey. I am looking forward to seeing Raul again. The Prince of the ring will show up at UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. |

| Schalke 04 has signed Raul. Raul earns 6 milion Euros per year. They have made a very interesting contract. If Schalke 04 meets Real Madrid in the matches, Raul will avoid being the enemy of Real. Both sides needn't feel embarassed. It is said that Real Madrid will pay 2 million of Raul's annual payment. This is not the best ending for Raul but it is satisfying. Raul is a legend at Real Madrid. No one can deny this. |

| PS: Raul will wear his No. 7 shirt at Schalke 04. No. 7 belonged to a Chinese footballer but now this guy gives it up to Raul.  |

| Kevin, that part he avoids playing with Real Madrid is not included in the contract. Raul won't avoid this. Schalke 04 is qualified to play UEFA Championships. It is very likely that he will meet Real Madrid in group matches. He exptects such a game. |

| I am very happy that the contract doesn't include that part. Just hope that he won't be cursed by Real's fans when Schalke 04 plays against Real. Remember Figo? Once he was humiliated by Barsa's fans after he transfered to Real Madrid. Dream, Raul has a good beginning at Schalke 04. He scored two goals yesterday and helped Schalke 04 beat Bayern Munich 3-1 in the final of Liga total! Cup.  |
