 | I am looking for a non-chinese for friendship and leading to marriage. i was married before but my ex chinese wife does not respect me as a human with dignity. I had to cook, do the dishes, put kids to bed and dresst them up in the morning. she checks everything i had, my email, my phone records, my car milage. even this, she would constantly put me down by saying i was useless, did not make a lot money so she had to work. i know that western culture emphasize privacy and respect even between couples, so i want to find a a westerner wife, no chinese wife ever !!!!!! i am in my 30s, not tall, no short, not fat, not skinny, not talkative, not taciturn, not handsome, not ugly, not rich, not poor, not a genius, not a fool ( note: i might have been a fool marriying my ex), just an average joe who wants to lead a normal family life. thank you for watching. Chinese women, please detour  . |

| LINELATE, I feel sorry for you. But not all Chinese women are like your ex-wife. It is true that most young Chinese girls prefer their husband to cook the dishes. But there are some girls who can do delicious dishes too. Trust is the foundation of marriage. If she checks everything you have, obviously she doesn't trust in you. Leaving her is the best decision. |

| GUEST13023 | "The grass is always greener on the other side" - how true! Nowadays, we see many western men marrying Chinese women, but yet very few western women who marry Chinese men. There are many good reasons for that fact, which have been discussed in details in various threads. I'm sure you've had the chance to read about them from other guys' experiences. Are you sure you want find a western woman? You will have to be exceptionally lucky to find a western woman to match your dream, but this is not completely impossible to do, or is it? However, if your mind is set on finding a western woman, you should look in more specific dating websites. Let us know about your experiences and good luck to you. |

| GUESTENID | In western culture people may value individualism, privacy. But are you saying that Chinese women do not respect their husbands? Who told you that? or it is you who can't bear your ex-wife for these trivial things in life. Westerners will detour too if you can not tolerate and show consideration. |

| I am with Charlott. These are not trivial things. All she has done has clearly proven that she doesn't trust in you. I don't know why she did these things to you. Are these all her faults? If you didn't betray her, there must be something wrong with her. You should let her know this: the tighter you grasp sand, the tighter it runs through your fingers. |

| GUESTLINELATE | Thank you for your posting. yes, i could tolerate that i do the cooking, washing, putting kids to bed and all that and she just sits in the couch being picky about the way that i do, yes, i could. but i can not stand being treated as a thief and beiileng spied on all the time whilef he same time i was trying my best to keep the family together by not getting into conflict with her. I had tried 10 years and waited 10 years for her to trust me but failed. i couldn''t carve my heart out and show her that only her name was written on it ( i wish i could ). i was just tired. the foundation of marriage was not there, ---trust---, doomed. tried 10 years to make it work, countless heartbrokn nights, it failed, things were doomed from the very beginning. she is nver gonna change and i changed my soul. ---- i know the chances finding a good foreign wife is slim but nothing will be worse than the experience i had with my ex- chinese wife.. if i am lucky enough, i might hit the jackpot. i want to have a family that is healthy, normal, and with repect to each other, a family that we help each other, listen to each ohter and spend life together when old and crippled. |
