Sight-seeing trains between Urumqi and Yining to run from August 10

From August 10, K9789 ([tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/urumqi.htm]Urumqi[/tcgurl] – Yining) and K9790 (Yining – Urumqi) will operate to ease the transport pressure on Jingyihuo Railway (Jinghe – Yining –Horgos Port).

K9789 departs from Urumqi at 9:48 and arrives at Yining Railway Station at 20:18, running 10 hours and 30 minutes. K9790 leaves from Yining at 9:50 and arrives at Urumqi Railway Station at 20:35.

The trains run at daytime so that 96% of seats are hard seats. There is only one hard-berth sleeper carriage which can accommodate 60 people. Other carriages are all double-decked. Air-conditioners are equipped to the carriages.

The ticket prices: CNY 87 (hard seat), 153 (upper hard berth), 157 (middle hard berth) and 162 (lower hard berth).

Tip: Tourists can book the train ticket 10 days in advance.

Besides, tourists can take 5815/5816 to travel between Urumqi and Yining. The journey takes around 11 hours and 30 minutes. .Both trains were put into use from July 1.
