If I do not have internet access, what is the cheapest way to call overseas from major cities ? I need to call Sydney, Australia. I have heard of IP cards. Can I use these cards from public pay phones ? Are pay phones easy to find in cities ? Do I still need to put coins if I have an IP card ? What coins do I need to keep handy to use a public pay phone ? Thanks for your time in answering my questions.

IP card is still expensive. People use VOIP nowadays. It is very popular and cheap. You can use it on your own phone, doesn't matter without internet access. I use alicall recently. It's 0.17rmb/minute today to Sydney, right now when i'm typing.

Hi GuestSteven, I guess VOIP still requires internet access or WIFI coverage.
