physical examination for z-visa
Aug 6, 2010 00:23
guest51145 I have a very limited amount of time to apply for and receive my z-visa, and have the letter of invitation and work permit in hand. However, I can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether the physical examination record is NECESSARY to obtain the z-visa or if I can have the physical exam done in China when applying for my Residency Permit. I'm worried that I won't have enough time to complete the exam before I need to apply for the visa.

I'm Canadian, applying in USA, and will be staying in China for 12 months.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Some China embassy ask the health Check when you apply Z visa abroad, so you's better take the health check report when you applying Z visa.

If you are in Beijing, I can help you do Z visa without leaving the China.

It is absurdly expensive to get the medical check done in western countries compared with what many of us earn in China. At most you should only need to complete the first part of the health check form where you state you are free of listed illnesses etc. N way would I payfor a medical before getting to China...unless an employer is paying!

GUEST75166 Hi, it is me again! (I made the original post.) Applying in New York City, I did NOT need the physical exam, in fact they didn't ask me for the form at all. Nobody I saw applying there was using that form.

(However, I had the medical check done in India before I left, it only cost me the equivalent of US $9.)

Otherwise I had no problems getting the visa, got it the same day in 1.5 hours.

Thank you for all your replies!

Don't be surprised if you have to retake the physical exam again in China..... especially the x-rays
