My China Visa expires on August 19, 2010 and I need to make a trip at the end of the month. What is the procedure to renew my China Visa? Do I have time?

Thank you

GUESTJEAN JRTDZE, you mean you have not use the visa to China yet and it will expire soon? please take a look at your China visa, if the entry before time is August 19, 2010, you can still use it to enter China before the very day. Otherwise, the visa is not valid and can not be renewed even if you have not used it. if you want to come to China at the end of this month, you need to hurry on about a new visa application toChina through Chinese embassy in States.

GUEST13023 Jean,
Are you sure? I thought you had to be IN and OUT of China before the visa expired.

GUESTJEAN It is true. Make sure that the date after EBTER BEFORE of your visa is as you listed above on August 19, 2010. you can use it to enter China before that day. The number after DURATION OF EACH STAY is time limit you can stay in China after entry.

Here is the introduction of China visa: including entry times, validity and duration, etc. http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/entry.htm

GUEST13023 Jean,
OK, I see what you are saying, and it's welcome news to me.
The way I see it now, I can get a multiple entries, 1 year, 60 day stay visa. Then enter China 1 or 2 days before the visa expires, stay there for 58 or 59 days before exiting - and I will be fine.
Next time I'm at the Chinese consulate I will ask the nice folks who work there, just to make sure.
