 | Hi, We plan to travel to ZhangJiaJie in mid Oct 2010, I would like to know about local car charter in this area. What is the standard rate for a small car, good for 4 persons? Can someone helpout ? Thanks a lot !! |

| I find a web about car chartering in Zhangjiajie, but no English version. Below is the quotation they offered: RMB800 for a three day tour, driver included. RMB 1,2000 for a 4 day tour, driver included |

| Town area? First make it clear you did not mean the Zhangjiajie downtown area. It's convenient to live nearby the scenic area. It will save you a lot of time. But book a hotel including meals, for it's very expensive to have independent meals near the scenic area. |

| Zhangjiajie is a city, so I by now take zhangjiajie town as zhangjiajie downtown area. Diatances between Zhangjiajie downtown area and the scenic points and the travelling time: Zhangjiajie Forest Park: 32 kilometers, about40- 50 minutes Suoxiyu: 32 kilometers, about 40-50 minutes Tianzishan: about 40 minutes Baofeng Lake: 30 kilometers, about 40 minutes Zhangjiajie downtown area is about 65 kilometers from Furong Town and it takes about 1.5 hours if traveling by car. Info is just for reference, I got them from the internet. So you decided to live in Zhangjiajie downtown area? Have you rented the car or not? There are direct buses to these scenic points from Zhangjiajie General Bus Station (张家界中心汽车站). Oh, sorry, I forgot there are four of you and it is not convenient to by bus. |

| Hi Bakui, Thanks very much for the info...with such detaild info, I can plan better. Yes, we have decided to stay in ZhangJiaJie down town and travel to scenic spots by car. We have almost a week to move around, staying down town should be ok. No, I haven't hired a car yet, do you think I can easily arrange for one when I am there ? Have you any idea what is the daily rate for car hiring ? Thanks once again |
