| Non Immigrant Visa For Fiance To USA From China? | |

 | Hey all, first post, but I got a doozy of a problem I'm not sure how to solve... The situation is this. I'm living in China and have lived here for the past 3 years. As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to spend the rest of my life here. While in China, I met a wonderful girl. We are engaged to be married in China. My parents have come to meet her and given use their blessings as have her parents. The problem is this: I'd like to take her to America for a short visit to see my country and meet some of my friends, but it seems like it's nearly impossible to get a visa. We tried for a B-2 Visa last June and were denied because I assume the consul (understandably) assumed she intended to marry me and immigrate to America (this is not the case, both of us want to live in China, but we were never given the chance to prove this to the consul). I have looked into the K-1 fiance visa, but those visas look bad too because they (incorrectly) assume that my fiance and I want to live in America. We don't. We just want to visit and then come back to China. So...What can I do? Is there any way I can take a short vacation to America with my fiance and show her my country the way she has shown me hers? I can't imagine there is no way to make it happen, but as of right now I am completely stumped as to what to do. For the last time: 1. I DO NOT want to live in America with my fiance. 2. My fiance DOES NOT want to become an American citizen. 3. My fiance DOES NOT want to immigrate to America. What can I do? Thanks in advance for any advice. |
