From Taiyuan to visit Kunming, Lijiang in 4-5 days?

guest56228 I would like to go to Kunming, Lijiang, Dali etc from Taiyuan by air. Is it possible to visit these places in 5 days? If not, which one or ones I should definite see?

I think it is possible. Have a look into this tour, they have arranged the 3 places in 5 days.

But if you can not make it, I recommend you Kunming and Lijiang.

If recommend skipping Kunming ( a nice enough city) unless u are interested in the stone forest but spend your time in Dali and Lijiang. Although extremely touristy, they carry it off well. Pic of a Dali Gate.

I found Dali more interesting than lijiang, which for me was too touristy and each lane looked the same.
What I did do in Lijiang was hire taxi/car for half day, cost 100rmb and went out of the city to see Baisha and La Shi hai.
Dali, I recommend going out on the lake with a fisherman, its amazing to watch the birds fish.
