Shanghai to Ningbo by train

Hi,
I would like to take a train from Shanghai to Ningbo. I understand I have to take the D train...I understand it takes 3 hours. Any more info? is it a direct train? how do I know where to get off?

GUESTJOE You can take D5583 from Shanghai to Ningbo, it is a direct train. Start at 17:58 and reach Ningbo at 21:05. it takes 3 hours.

GUESTUSMAN i'll like to take a train from Yiwu to Ningbo, would you mind to tell me what time it takes? and from what time it starts?

It depends on what kind of train you take. D trains are the fastest. K trains are ok and the ordinary trains are the slowest. As for Yiwu-Ningbo Train schedules, please do a search on [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/]China Train Schedule[/tcgurl]

There are not much choices from Yiwu to Ningbo.
The fastest train takes about 3 hours, it's the K1076/1077, Yiwu 20:29 -- Ningbo 23:23
Also the K424/425 is "fast", only 3:15 hours to Ningbo.
The other trains may take as long as 5 hours.
I think the coach is much faster, around 2:30 from Yiwu to Ningbo.
