Just up your shirt to expose your belly, fanning with the garment to create your own air conditioning. Many Chinese people expose their bellies in summer to make them feel cooler. Some even take off their shirts. They're known as bang ye, or "exposing grandfathers"(despite their age range). In the hottest weather, bang ye seem to be everywhere. Is this uncivilized? Just look at what women wear, backless dresses and hot pants. No one says they are uncivilized. Instead, people will praise that they are so sexy. What do you think?
