When you make a long distance phone call, you need add the area code before the telephone number. What if you don’t know the area code for that place? Don’t worry. You can use [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/area_zip/]China Area Code Search function[/tcgurl] to get the area code as long as you know the name of that place. Also, you can input an area code to search for the location.

If you want to mail a letter or package to somebody in China, you need get the postal code (zip code) first. With [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/area_zip/]China Zip Code Search function[/tcgurl], you can easily find the zip code for a certain place in China. And you can input a zip code to search for the location too.

Both Hongkong and Macau have no zip code. When sending the letters, just write down the correct address is OK. Remember to write 'Hongkong' on the envelope. easier?

Just because the two cities are different from the other mainland cities (politically, one nation, two systems), they are under their own telephone or postal system.

their telephone zone no. can be considered as a country no. they also have their own zip code.

not really, you still have to find the correct zip code by whatever means, in order to make your parcels arrive at the right place timely.
