I seem to be stuck on going from chengde to Qufu. I found an express train which reaches
Beijing at 11. 38 but there seem to be no train connections between Beijing and Qufu or
between beijing and Yandzou, which, my tourguides say, is the town closest to Qufu by
train. Has anyone gone to Qufu from Beijing by train? Thanks for your answers
Has any one taken this train ri

The train does not go to Qufu, when a railway project for Qufu was first discussed, the Kong family petitioned for a change of routes, claiming the trains would disturb Confucius' Tomb. They won and the nearest tracks were routed to Yunzhou 16km to the west of Qufu.

There are 7 trains stopping at Yunzhou which is a stop on the Beijing to Shanghai line.

You could try the 1477 train that leaves Beijing at 1311 and arrives in Yunzhou at 2204.

Sorry, I missed a bit in the book, before Martoglio replied.

There has since been a station built 6kms to the east of Qufu. Again there is a difference in spelling on this site. To search for trains you need to enter Wufu.

As Martoglio suggested the K51 train is the only train from Beijing that stops at Wufu.

GUEST72240 The train to the east only has slow trains so it is probably better to take the train Beijing to Yunzhou.
