Hotel booking for China Visa requirement

We are going to Shanghai for 6 days on December 2010. Is it possible to book only for 3 days hotel accommodation during the application of Visa or do we have to book for the whole 6 days.

yes its possible you need to get some suggestion from Australia Visa consultant

Have you been told you must make a hotel booking? It is not normally required but is a requirement fo a few passport nationalities and when special events are on, ie Asian Games perhaps. The cheapest solution is to make bookings at a youth hostel or backpacker hostel and forfeit the 10% deposit. Check out the western hostels, some are as low as 30 rmb a night, £3, Aus$5 (about the same in Bush devalued dollars).
