Sweet and sour Suji(素鸡)

Raw materials:
Suji (330 grams), 1/2 onion, 1/2 carrot, 1 green pepper, 1 red pepper.

Flavoring: 1/2 tablespoon starch, 3 tablespoons white vinegar, 5 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon light soy sauce and 1/3 tablespoon salt.

Step 1 Slice Suji into pieces (0.5 cm), tear off the onion’s skin and cut it into shreds, hollow the green and red pepper and cut them into pieces.

Step 2 Peel the carrot and cut into pieces. Mix 1/2 tablespoon starch with 3 tablespoons water very well.

Step 3 Heat a bowl of vegetable oil and fry Suji until their color becomes golden.

Step 4 Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil and fry onion shreds first and then put carrot, green and red pepper in and fry them together for a second.

Step 5 Add fried Suji in the pan and fry it with carrot, green and red pepper etc together. Then add 1/2 cup of water and boil until the mixture is boiling.

Step 6 Mix 3 tablespoons white vinegar, 5 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon light soy sauce and 1/3 tablespoon salt together and then pour it in the pan and stir the mixture. Finally, mix 1/2 tablespoon starch with 3 tablespoons water together and spread it into the pan.
