I want to go from HK to Taishan (in Guangzhou), not the famous mountain. I was told that it takes 4 hours by bus. Is there a quicker way? Does it make sense to go to Macau by speed boat and then take a bus from there?

Hi, you could go from HK to Taishan by bus or by boat. Both would take about 4 hours, but it maybe take more time by bus depended on the traffic. You could visit this website http://www.cepa.com.hk/eversion/eindex.asp to check .

By the way, Taishan is not in Guangzhou but in Jiangmen.

Thanks. How many different bus lines go to Taishan? Are there a lot to chose from? Most of the links are in Chinese so I have some trouble reading them.

I also read that no ferry services to taishan anymore... unless they changed it again?
