guestJohn Necholas I understand Confucius birthday is on the 28th September in his hometown of Qufu.

Apart from packaged tours, any ideas on the best way of getting there?

You may go there on your own. But you need to get to Qufu first. Where are you now?

GUEST60237 Thanks for your response. I guess it is too late to make the 28th September dateline but I nevertheless intend to go to Confucius hometown in any case, and I propose to get to Hong Kong and continue from there. So any directions from there to Qufu would be appreciated.
