| Hi, I am a New Zealand citizen. Could you please tell me if I need a visa to visit Shanghai, I am going there for 10 days holiday. A quick response would be much appreciated thank you. |

| Yes, you need to apply for a visa to China in advance through Chinese embassy or consulate in NZ. |

| (In case you fly to HongKong first): you can enter HongKong without visa, then apply China visa for 380hk$ and get it here in HongKong (apply morning before 11am - finish same day afternoon). |

| T9DAVIDIANS: You don't say where you are but I assume you are in Mainland China. You cannot apply for an extension but you can apply for a new one. You will find the info at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/extension.htm |
