Does it take longer to Ship by Sea from China to USA in Nov or Dec?

I plan to make some purchases in Yiwu and Guangzhou and I will need the merchandise to be in the USA as soon as possible. I plan to ship by sea because of the weight, I heard that it takes long during this time of year . Is that True and if so how long does it take?

Yes, but if you can choose direct ship, it can save time.
