Can you China travelers comment on either or both companies? From their catalogs the itineries seem very similar. Vantage is more expensive with better accomodations. Grand Circle is about $500 cheaper with some unrated hotels. We are considering late March or early April. Can anyone comment on the weather?

Welcome to China! Why not consider TravelChinaGuide as another alternative?

Weather in March and April is generally humane, not hot and not cold. Anyway it depends on where are you going to. It seems that this is your first China tour. I guess you are visiting those popular cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, and probably Yangtze River. The weather at the time of your visit will good to travel. Do not need to worry about that.
