Domestic fuel surcharges increase after NDRC raises jet fuel prices
Oct 27, 2010 02:42
NDRC issued a notice on Oct. 25, saying the factory price of the jet fuel would increase from 5470 yuan to 5690 yuan per ton. This notice took effect from 0:00 on Oct 26.

Influenced by the jet fuel price, China airlines such as Air China, China Eastern and other major domestic airlines raise the fuel surcharges on domestic routes greater than 800 kilometers from 40 yuan to 70 yuan. Those whose journeys are shorter than 800 kilometers need pay 40 yuan instead of 20 yuan.

The jet fuel price increases. So does airline tickets. The consumers always pay the bill for the higher fuel prices.
