travel tip from guangzhou to pinghu

hello

iam in guangzhu -tianhe district and i want to go to pinghu station in shenzhen.
any idea ,some one told me to take the bus better than train.
i went to a bus station i think its east guangzhou station and i found lines of people waiting to by a ticket....
is there excutive buses or please advise me what to do.
