Hi
We are planning to visit China in June 2011,we are U.K. citizens and will leave the U.K. in January 2011.

We have heard that it may be possible to apply for a multiple entry visa in January 2011 before we leave the U.K. and it will still be valid when we enter China in June 2011 (5 months later) is this correct?
Many Thanks
Leah

Are you travelling as tourists (L visa) or business (F business none working visa)?

In some cases, yes your visa will be valid. If you obtain a 6 month multiple entry it is valid for a final entry on the last day of the 6 months (or if a 12 month multiple entry then you must enter within the 12 months)...and then you can stay as long as it says for each visit, typically 1,2, or 3 months. I have had such visas twice.

GUEST74111 Hi
Thanks for that...that ,means we can get our visa before we leave the u.k. in January.
Many Thanks
