Will I be allowed to visit China on business if I have a DUI conviction from 2003?

GUEST21132 it's not a problem, you can just put NO to the application form for section of Criminal record. Actually, no one will check it out.

GUEST07066 I've got a misdemeanor DUI conviction from early 2005 (arrest was in 2004). I actually traveled to China in 2006 back when the question was not on Visa. Now I'm going with a group from work and we need to submit our applications ASAP. Should I check no or yes?? If I check yes I will essentially have to share my past history with the person compiling all of our applications, so I'm very torn about this.

If I check yes and they do a background check is there virtually no chance of going to China or would some claim of ignorance (it was only a misdemeanor, etc) potentially work? It obviously doesn't specifically mention misdemeanor or felony.

Aplogies if this is a double post - hit back too quickly

If you read the thread you will find that most experienced China travellers suggest you say 'No'. On the other hand there are no reports (as far as I know) of anyone being refused on such an issue.
