hi everyone i was granted a double entry visa to china. after a week in china i planned on going to HK then back to CHina. Then out to Malaysia and back to CHina. So basically I need 3 visas. i was only granted two. any suggestions? would i be allowed to apply for a 2nd visa in HK or in Malaysia? If i applied in HK, I still have my 2nd entry (which wouldn't have been used yet. would they allow for me to apply for another one when the 2nd one hasn't been used?) thanks.

HK is the preferred place to apply for another visa. If you apply for, and are issued with, a new visa it totally replaces any existing visa or residence permit. So in this case apply for a double entry visa which will probably be granted. I am not up to date on whether the consulate in Malaysia will issue visas to non residents of that country.

Angela: Single= once. double = twice, multiple = unlimited. You must enter before the 'Enter By' date. If you exit to Macau or Hong Kong (or other countries) and re-enter you will have used up your two entries

thanks apault. not sure if i can take that chance and go to hong kong. i'm afraid i may get denied a double entry visa of which my malaysia plans would get ruined. i think i'll have to sacrifice not going to hong kong :(
