I represent a language school in Haikou, Hainan and we are looking for a couple to teach in our school after Chinese New Year. The position would suit someone in their 30's or 40's who is looking for a job teaching 16 classes a week and relaxing most of the week as the job is primarily weekend work when the children are off school. See our website for more details ( www.yudafla.com ) or contact me at hotmail.com|chrisennis48. The school has a strict policy regarding work outside the school. IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
For this reason the job would not suit a young person looking to work 2 or 3 schools to maximize their income. The Basic salary is 6,000 RMB a month with a semi-annual bonus of 9,000 RMB which is in lieu of a travel allowance. The school will provide accommodation and pay for the working visa. The school would prefer to recruit someone already living in China for at least 2 years and is familiar with Chinese culture.
Hainan is not a dynamic place like parts of the mainland. Look at this website which gives a good analysis of life in Hainan ( http://middlekingdomlife.com/guide/living-teaching-english-haikou-hainan.htm ). For this reason we believe that the job would suit an older couple looking for a relaxing time with limited teaching hours. Typical working week would be as follows: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings ( teach 7pm to 9pm). Saturday is the busiest day with 6 hours teaching ( 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening). Finally Sunday has 3 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the early afternoon. Which means you can relax or travel or do whatever you like from 4pm on Sunday afternoon until 7pm on Wednesday evening. Does this sound like the kind of job for you? If so then we would like to hear from you.
