a) I will be going to {Hong Kong,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/} during Christmas and plan to stay at Metropark Mongkok. I plan to take the A21 bus from the airport but am rather concerned as my family and I will be lugging along some rather large pieces of luggage. Will it be a problem getting the luggage onto the bus? Moreover, I will be arriving at 5.05pm. Will I have a problem taking the bus from the airport considering the peak hour? b) If I decide to take a taxi, will the taxi be able to accommodate 4 adults and 3 pieces of rather large luggage? How much is the charge for each piece of luggage?

I have heard that Tourists who take A routes are free to take 2 large pieces of luggage, which means you need to pay extra money for another piece of luggage. A taxi can accommodate 4 people and one piece of luggage costs around HK$5. But I am not sure it if can carry your 3 pieces of rather large luggage because I do not know how you define “rather large”. You can visit [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/getting-around.htm]By Taxi & Public Light Bus[/tcgurl] to get the detailed info about HK Taxi. I suggest you take [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/transportation/air-bus.htm] airport shuttle bus[/tcgurl] in [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/airport.htm]Hong Kong Airport[/tcgurl] instead of taxi. If you are unlucky to meet the traffic jam, a taxi may cost more money. And it is much expensive to take a taxi than A21.

As I gather there are 4 adults travelling with 3 luggages, therefore there will not be any excess luggage for EACH adult. Moreover, if you are able to take the luggages around and check them in, I don't think they are exorbitantly large in such a way that the bus driver does not allow you to take them on board a bus. Having said that, I don't think you are able to squeeze 4 adults and 3 luggages into one taxi, you may need to take 2 taxis, and the fares will be quite a lot. I would advise you to take the airbus as suggested above, though it may be rush hour after 5, you can still catch a bus easily and the traffic is reasonably swift.
