Hi.

I am in the UK and my wife and i eat a lot of dishes from the local chinese takeaways. I'd really like to make a lot of the things myself and although i follow a lot of the recipes i see online the end product is quite frankly disappointing and doesn't taste anything close to the takeaways dishes.

So might sound silly, but short of actually asking the local takeaways for their recipes is there any hints or tips anyone can give me?

Thanx

I am not going to let you down but you may not cook the same flavor even if you get the recipes from the local takeaways. The cooks have down these dishes many times. They know clearly how to make it.

Besides, they may have some "secret recipes/ingredients" and they won't tell anyone about them. If everyone can cook delicious food, they will lose their jobs.
