Coming to Tibet at the end of December. Ask for help!

guesttravelintibet I will come to Tibet at the end of this month with several friends. I have read that the sunshine is very fierce there. Should we bring sunscreen, sun glasses etc? Is it possible that it will snow when we arrive? Also have heard that foreigners are only allowed to travel in Tibet. So we might join a group tour. Anyone ca recommend a reliable China Travel Agency and some itineraries?

Email the team at travelchinaguide.com and ask them to arrange something. They do an absolutely fantastic job and can customise it to your time and needs.

Totally recommend them and have used them often. Tibet is fantastic and one of my favourite bits was visiting local villages away from the main routes.

Sunscreen, sunglass, hats and thick clothes are all necessities. If you have altitude sickness, please prepare some medicine in advance. Foreigners are required with Tibet Travel Permit as well as a valid passport and a visa (Travelers from countries having visa exemption agreement with {Hong Kong,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/} do not need a visa).
