Last time I was in Hangzhou I read about a temple that was a couple ofhours south of Hangzhou. I think it was near somewhere beginginng with "J". It had lots of statues, was on a hill and had a sort of hanging temple similar to the monastery near Datong. Can anyone help with a name and location for this? Am back there on 4 Jan and would like to drive down and visit it. Had it written down but lost the book it was in. thanks Crosis

[tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/zhejiang/hangzhou/lingyin.htm]Ling Yin Temple[/tcgurl] probably is the most famous temple in Hangzhou. But it doesn't begin with "J". If it starts with "J" in Pinyin, I guess it should be "Jing Ci Temple(净慈寺)". It is located on Nanpin Hill(南屏山),very close to the [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/zhejiang/hangzhou/west_lake.htm]West Lake[/tcgurl] I am not sure if TCG has this attraction, just check [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/zhejiang/hangzhou/]Hangzhou Attractions[/tcgurl]

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this is not the one I am refering to. I have been to this temple. The one I am trying to remember is at least 200km from {Hangzhou,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hangzhou.htm} as I needed to hire a car for the day, but ran out of time. All the best crosis
