Hi

My partner and I are due to land in {Beijing,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing.htm} 14th Feb and will probably spend a few days there before heading south to {Xian,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/xian.htm}. Will the new year madness still affect the trains? or will it be tailing off a little?

We'll probably try and catch one of the night trains on the 19th or 20th and as this is over 2 weeks after CNY, I'm assuming we'll be fine.....or is this wishful thinking? If not then what would be suitable alternatives?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John

John,

I am not going to disappoint you. Feb 14 (2011) is Jan. 12 in Chinese lunar calendar. The Spring Rush still doesn't end. I am afraid that it is very difficult for you to get train tickets from Beijing to Xian.
