New subway lines put into use in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen

On Dec. 30, 2010, five new subway lines opened in Beijing: Subway Line 15 opened its first section from Wangjing West to Houshayu; Changping Line runs between Xierqi and Nanshao; Yizhuang Line from Songjiazhuang to Yizhuang Train Station; Daxing Line from Gongyi Xiqiao to Tiangongyuan; Fangshan Line from Guogongzhuang to Suzhuang Dajie. These new lines greatly facilitate the communication between the remote suburbs of Beijing and the urban area. Now [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing/transportation/subway.htm]Beijing subway[/tcgurl] reaches a mileage over 300 kilometers (186 miles). The northern extension of [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai/transportation/subway-line7.htm]Shanghai Subway Line 7[/tcgurl] has been open since Dec. 28, 2010. Line 7 now runs north to the three news stations - Gucun Park, Luonan Xincun and Meilan Lake. [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/guangdong/shenzhen/subway/]Shenzhen Subway[/tcgurl] Shekou Line (Line 2) has been in operation since Dec. 28, 2010. It runs from Chiwan Station in Shekou Port area to the [tcgurl=https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/guangdong/shenzhen/window.htm]Window of the World[/tcgurl], where passengers can transfer to Luobao Line (Line 1). The Xixiang section of Luobao Line has been open since Dec. 29, 2010. Nine new stations are put into use, and this line now reaches Xixiang of Bao’an District.

Hi Christine, thanks for your effort to make traveling within china more familiar and interesting. I am planning to journey to china in about 4 months time with the intention of shopping for cosmetics products such as dove products, neutrogena products, olay products as well as perfumes such as versace. Can you please guide me on where to purchase such items on wholesale. Would really appreciate your response.
