You have not mentioned the fact that foreign visitors must register their presence with the local police station within 24 hours of arrival if they are not staying at an hotel registered to do this for them. A passport type photo must be provided along with passport, travel details and accommodation address. The person with whom you are staying must also attend this registration and provide their hukou and ID card.
