![]() | So I'll start at the beginning...I got my first visa to china in April, got a teaching job through an agency who pointed me in the direction of '5 star china holidays' who processed my visa - a 6 month double entry tourist visa. The agency turned out to be a scam and we got screwed over left right and centre, but thats another story...the important thing about that is we never got a working visa through the company as promsied. Went to Hong Kong After 85 days, came back no problem. In September I started seeing a chinese girl, quickly realised she was trouble, and got rid of her. To get revenge she hit herself, and told the police I beat her up and raped her. I did absolutely nothing wrong, they knew she was lying, there was evidence to the contrary, and I was let go after 20 hours, and told the incident had been swept under the carpet, and I should have no trouble getting a visa in the future. By this point I had left the agency, was working for a reputable school, who had begun my working visa application, and were waiting on me to complete my TEFL certificate before we could process it. However, I still had a few modules left when the 6month visa was due to expire, so I went to hong kong to renew it! I used an agency named Forever Bright Trading Company. My inital application was rejected, I told them about the incident, they said this would be the reason why I was rejected, and they had another way they could apply. They did this, and I got the new visa the day after. Considering this my employer decided it was now unlikely I would get a working visa, the PSB would probably reject it as they presumed they had for my application in hong kong, and i decided to go home. I returned to england in october, and am hoping to come back to china next month. I have applied for a 6 month tourist visa through the same company i initially used, and i'm crossing my fingers for it!!! I actually spoke to the compnay, and their reasoning for my initial hong kong rejection was that it had probably been rejected because my stay of longer than 6 months led them to believe i was not a genuine tourist!! I just wondered if anyone had heard anything like this before??? Do you think I will get a visa from the english agency?? Is there any chance if i get the visa I will be refused entry to china? bearing in mind i got back in and left after the initial refusal in hong kong? is there any chance at all of recieving a work visa in the future? Despite this horrible incident of the crazy girl and the terrible agency, I loved my time in Guangzhou and I really want to make a go of it this time. I'm sorry about the length of this posting, I just wanted to provide as much detail as I could, I guess most people probably got bored though!!! ANy help or advice really would be greatly appreciated |

![]() | "their reasoning for my initial hong kong rejection was that it had probably been rejected because my stay of longer than 6 months led them to believe i was not a genuine tourist!!" that is to say, you overstayed in China last time, and probably, your name has been blacklisted. SO, better wait for few months to apply for a new visa to China, or you need to get a new passport. |

![]() | actually that was just a guess on the agencys part. i had presumed, and so had the hk agency, that the reason was because of the incident, and the public security bureau blocking the visa, i asked the english agency who i applied with about this, and that was their guess. they thought it was unlikely they would grant 2 consecutive 6 month visas. i did not overstay, and both times left china 5 days before i had to |
