My hubby and i just came back from 8 days in Bejing & Shanghai. Altho we have been there before, this time we did a F&E tour which was very fun.

Now in Autumn, we are thinking of going to Xian, Chongqing and/or Nanjing. And ending off back in Beijing.

Does anyone have any advice on (a) how many days we should set aside for these cities (b) sequence of the trip, should we go Xian first & move up back to Beijing? (c) what are the main attractions not to be missed in these cities

many thanks for your advice.

Chongqing needs 3 days at least.Headquarters General Joseph W. Stilwell Chief Commander, Dazu Grottoes, Northern Hot Springs Park and Ci Qi Kou (Porcelain Village)are the must-sees. In addition, you can spend days on Yangtze Cruise.

Xi'an would cost you about 2 days.City Wall, the Terracotta Warriors Museum, the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque should be visited.

And you would take 2 days in Nanjing.Yangtze River Bridge, Dr. Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum and the Xuanwu Lake.
